Fabric Activator

Fabric Activator is a no-code tool within Microsoft Fabric that monitors data as it changes and automatically triggers an action when a defined condition is met. It's part of Fabric's Real-Time Intelligence workload, and was formerly known as Data Activator (or Fabric Data Activator).

What Is Fabric Activator?

Activator watches data as a stream of events rather than a static report. It connects to Eventstreams, Power BI reports, or Real-Time dashboards, and continuously checks incoming data against rules you define, so instead of someone checking a dashboard manually, the system reacts the moment a threshold or pattern is hit.

Core Purpose

The main goal of Activator is to close the gap between noticing a problem and acting on it. Most platforms stop at visualization, leaving someone to watch the report and decide what to do. Activator removes that step, evaluating conditions continuously and responding automatically, often within seconds.
